俗語說「兄弟同心,其利斷金」,原來兄妹也可以!

位於九龍城街市旁的義香荳腐食品,由老闆兼師傅陳汝新和妹妹彩鳳主理。義香的豆腐、豆漿、豆腐花,天天新鮮供應,同時兼賣街頭小食如大菜糕、涼粉及煎釀三寶等,是街坊鄰里、工友學生的至愛,而豆卜、腐竹和響鈴,更是火鍋必備佳品。兩兄妹合作多年,分工清晰,如鐵閘作品上所描繪,哥哥負責製作豆品,手上捧着狀似九龍寨城的豆腐,代表義香自六十年代起已紥根九龍城,看着九龍城的變遷;心境永遠年輕的妹妹則負責打理店面,即使店舖有多忙也能兵來將擋。

Yee Heung Tofu Shop is situated at the edge of Kowloon City Market, and has been managed by the Chan siblings, Chan Yu Sun and Chan Choy Fung, since the 1960s. The small, old-style eatery is famous for its silky tofu, soy milk and sweet tofu pudding, freshly made every day by Chan Yu Sun. The shop also serves street food snacks, like agar agar jelly, grass jelly and fried vegetables stuffed with minced meat and fish known as “three treasures”, as well as hot pot ingredients like tofu puffs, tofu skin and tofu rolls. The shutter artwork shows Chan Choy Fung holding a bottle of soy milk and Chan Yu Sun holding a block of tofu shaped to resemble the old Kowloon Walled City. The image reflects the shop’s legacy in the neighbourhood, and paints a perfect portrait of the Chan siblings’ teamwork, showing Chan Lui Sun’s focus on tofu production and Chan Choy Fung’s youthful energy for running the shop.
