Red Square Gallery

RED SQUARE GALLERY was founded by prominent Russian artist Anastassia Katafygiotis in 2006 and is dedicated to bringing stunning artworks of renowned as well as emerging artist from parts of the world that are currently not adequately represented, including Russia and ex-Soviet Union States to Hong Kong. Red Square Gallery, named after the famous historical Kremlin Square in Moscow, aims to fill the gap and contribute towards the diversity of Hong Kong art scene. It supports emerging talented artists while associates with well-established artists. It presents exquisite collections of Russian artworks, and showcases compelling exhibitions on a regular basis for art collectors and art enthusiasts.

Currently, Red Square Gallery has four branches. The first is situated in the charming Old Town of Sai Kung. The success leads to the second gallery in 2009 at The Repulse Bay Shopping Arcade, one of the most prestigious, historical and heritage buildings in Hong Kong. In 2010, the third gallery was launched in Happy Valley on one of the busiest street of the neighborhood, right next to the tram terminal. Last year, 2012, the fourth branch in Stanley Plaza was proudly.

Over the recent years, the gallery has established itself as one of Hong Kong�s most vibrant and visited art galleries.

In January 2011, the gallery started launching a season of Art & Music Events – concert series that combine great Art with great Music. Art and music lovers are invited to enjoy music performances in a gallery environment, immersing themselves into the visual delights of the Art Gallery’s exclusive exhibitions while listening to inspiring music by world-class composers.

Red Square Gallery holds performances by major international artists as well as young local musicians in engaging, thematic evenings of folk, pop, blues, jazz and classical music. Cocktail receptions are served prior to the concert, ranging from delicious mezedes, to the world’s best Italian Prosecco. Performance tickets can be reserved or bought on the spot. Red Square Gallery stands as an art and cultural institution with a mission of exposing Hong Kong to the vast wealth of Russian and Western cultural heritage in Fine Arts, together with Anastassia’s Art House – Russian Art Academy, which is dedicated to bringing the best art education to Hong Kong. The Art Academy offers a myriad of art classes for children and adults. The gallery space is also available for booking for selected functions.
